The Gallery Edit is a one-day-only photography sale event celebrating the art and vision of photography. Featuring a select lineup of acclaimed photographers, this event offers an opportunity to purchase directly from the artists — with no gallery commission on sales.

This year’s participants include interstate guests John Gollings and Ian van der Wolde (Melbourne), alongside Brisbane-based photographers David Symons, Alex Buckingham, John Pryke, Harry Frith, Eric Victor, David Hinchliffe and from the archives, works of  Gordon De Lisle. Together they represent a rich spectrum of contemporary and classic photographic practice. In addition to fine art prints, there will also be publications, vintage cameras, and other collectible items available for purchase.

In the spirit of generosity, The Gallery Edit proudly supports the Kids4Kids Foundation through the auction of donated fine art prints. Each participating photographer has contributed one print to this cause. Three of these works will be auctioned online via Oktion, launching on the day of The Gallery Edit on November 23, at 10am and closing on December 7, 2025 at 5pm. The remaining donated prints will be auctioned at future fundraising events throughout the year — part of the gallery’s ongoing commitment to supporting the wellbeing of children and young people through art.

Friends of the gallery and the public are invited to enjoy a relaxed and welcoming gallery atmosphere with refreshments available throughout the day.

The Gallery Edit marks the beginning of an annual initiative dedicated to bringing together artists, collectors, and the wider community in support of children and youth in need.
