Queensland Centre for Photography (QCfP) offers a programme of workshops and courses that support photographers in developing practical skills, technical knowledge and a deeper understanding of the photographic medium.
Workshops are intentionally kept small to encourage individual guidance, discussion and hands-on learning.
Our programme supports photographers at every stage of their development. Workshops focus on analogue photography, darkroom practice, alternative photographic processes and darkroom photographic printing, while new specialist workshops are introduced throughout the year.
Whether you are beginning with film photography, exploring historical printing techniques, or developing your own photographic practice, our workshops encourage learning through making, experimentation and discussion.
Workshops are led by experienced photographers, artists and educators with extensive professional and teaching experience.

We provide a high level of technical conceptual competence in photography, catering to not only beginners, who want to learn basic camera and imaging techniques, but also experienced photographers who seek to develop higher-level skills in specialised areas.
Most of our tutors are internationally recognized practitioners and experienced educators who have taught photography at all levels, from community workshops to university education.
The workshops offer both, flexible personalised tuition for individuals, as well as engaging classes for a creative group of people.
