Darkroom membership at QCfP
Darkroom membership (Brisbane) is offered through the Queensland Centre for Photography (QCfP), providing independent access to a professional black and white darkroom for experienced photographers and those transitioning to self-directed practice.

Who can Join?
In general, membership is open to photographers with prior black and white darkroom experience. Before using the space, all new members must complete a one-time induction session before independently using the space.
Note: This is not a teaching session, but an orientation to the darkroom layout, safety protocols, and equipment.

Pricing & fees
Joining Fee – $99
One-time fee to become a darkroom member.
Annual Renewal – $40
Billed each year to maintain active access.
Concession Join – $93.50
Available for students and healthcare cardholders.
Concession Renewal – $35
Annual renewal at the concession rate.
Induction Session – $85
Required for all new members. This is not a teaching workshop. Covers layout, equipment use, and safety guidelines.
Members Darkroom Booking – $32/hr

How to book your darkroom session
Once your membership is confirmed, you can book the darkroom using our online booking system or email us at admin@qcfp.com.au. Sessions can be booked from 3 days to 3 months in advance. Payment is due on arrival via card or EFTPOS (excluding AMEX).
- Members can book darkroom sessions from Wednesday to Saturday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
