November 8, 2016 6pm – 8.30pm

A free event evening to share our passion for Darkroom. Kinda show and tell; we invite photographers – professional or amateur, who have experienced the black and white darkroom, in the past or the present, to come along, bring a favourite photo they have made and share their stories of the darkroom. All prints brought along will be displayed on the Maud Gallery walls for the duration of the Festival of the Darkroom.

We would love to see your images, we would love to hear your stories. This is not a competition, there is no judging. This is a show and tell because we know you all have a favourite image that you’re proud of and would like to share it with likeminded people. And we would love to hear your darkroom experiences – good or bad, funny or sad.

Here is what’s going to happen on the night:

The event will be conducted in a similar fashion to PechaKucha style, which will present all attendees with the opportunity to show their work, exchange ideas and get inspired.

You are required to bring an image or a negative, processed in a darkroom.

You will have measured time of 5 minutes to tell us anything you want about that image.

The image will be attached to our wall, either with BlueTac, magnets or hung if it’s framed.

Questions can be asked at the end of the evening, after all presenters have finished.

This will be quite fast paced and fully loaded evening. We are looking forward to see you on the night.
